Chapter 3 - Session 13b

Peering over the cliff side at the embers of Trisfal, Fyrn turns to see all her companions lying cold in the mud. She does not stay long because she knows she is still deep within enemy territory, but does take the time to leave a note on Diana's body with the message "Find me in Westvale."

Looking up, a trail of orc blood leads off towards the tents, Fyrn knows who this belongs to. Stalking her prey she finds the orc general Dumag in his tent tending to his severed hand. The fight instantly breaks out. Fyrn dodges around and behind the tents to create distance Duamg snarling with rage charges around a corner pinning our hero to the ground. Both out of breath and on their last legs. As a colossal fist raises up in the air, Fyrn finds the strength to reach her hand up towards Dumag's chest and blasts a wave of roaring fire. A plume of smoke spews from the hole in his chest and he collapses on top of Fyrn. The mighty orc general Dumag Hackhand has been defeated.

Wiggling her way out from under the massive body, Fyrn then works to grab whatever she can. The orc's battle plans, medical kits, supplies, anything that will help her escape and slow down the further onslaught from the orcs. Now heading towards the spiked walls of the fort, she heaves herself up and over. The splash of footprints in the damp mud is the only thing left behind by Fyrn as she escapes towards the north out of the view of Fort Veil.

A long day of travel is now catching up with the fire genasi, the sun has given way to the moon long ago. She has put a good amount of distance between her and the now pillar of smoke she left behind. Just up ahead is a small campfire providing warmth and light for a single carriage, adorned by a multitude of objects that hang from its walls. Cautiously Fyrn approached.

She is now in the presence of Creecree, a merry aarakocra merchant who happily accepts her company for the night. Under the stars they share stories of their childhood. With this excitement Creecree brings out his magic bag that holds many wondrous items for sale. With each pull of Creecree's hand is a new item, many Creecree have not even seen himself. Our new friend admits that he does not fully understand how this magical satchel works, but he gleefully embraces the whimsy of it all. After some deals have been made the two are off to bed for a well deserved rest.

Waking up in the morning, Creecree appears to have already shipped off, leaving Fyrn alone at the campsite. She readies herself and begins moving towards Mewer's lair in the Sage Falls. With just mere steps within the forest Fyrn is concerned with what she finds as clusters of mushrooms start to dot the forest ahead of her.
