Chapter 1 - Session 6

Waking from a peaceful slumber, everyone hears Mewer toiling away at their concoctions. Diana appears to be out of sorts upon the morning, pale and moody. All packed up, we ship off to head towards Trisfal as the kenku tends to his experiments on the fungal infection.

The dense low treeline eventually opens up to a meadow just beyond the outskirts of Trisfal Orchard. Calm breezes sweep over the delicate grass and a soft harmony plays in the background. Step by step making their way across the meadow until the source of the music is in sight. Four ethereal spirits, each glowing in the sunlight, dance around an old tree stump. Upon it sits a green skinned orc playing an ocarina. His melody pauses for a moment when the orc realizes that he has new company.

Weary, Vlaliskia and Fyrn attempt to start a conversation. Prug 'Ijocarnn tells his tale without hesitation. A deserter from his faction, Prug left his oppressive ruler in hopes of some redemption and an attempt at repairing the natural world which the Empire is destroying. With the rare opportunity of meeting an orc without hostile intentions, they asked Prug to decipher the orcish written on the blood stained scroll. The scrolls details plans for a super weapon and the intentions of marching across the continent in ultimate conquest.

Prug then gets a sensation, dread fills his face, he can feel her presence. A piercing green light shoots across the skyline and heads directly towards the meadow. A green fiery eye floats right above everyone when a raspy voice calls out for Prug, exclaiming that his desertion will be met with his death. It was his old master, Archon Putriss. 3 purple summoning circles appear as undead servants rise from the ground to fulfill the Archon's wish.

The battle between the living and the dead is brutal, bringing Prug and Vlaliskia on the brink of demise. Diana, who has been struggling all day, seems to be missing every attack. Nite and Fyrn fight off the undead and keep their companions alive. But suddenly, Diana finds her graces as her Aasmir wings flourish out to raise her off the ground. Determination guides her hands as she brings her broken greatsword up and directly through the blazing Eye of the Archon, bursting it into a shower of holy sparks across the field.

The threat now dispatched, Prug is heavily wounded, but still alive. The orc sees potential for our heroes to complete the mission that he has set out to do. Gifting them his spirit ocarina as he takes his rest upon the tree stump with his spirits wishing our heroes luck on their quest.
